About The Department
The department of management studies is established to provide learning opportunities for the rural poor in making them as managers with strong moorings in Indian management ethos. . The department is run by a team of strong faculty as its Backbone. The Departments in-house Computer Centre comprises of 30 PC connected to LAN and a leased line 24-hr Internet facility. Sophisticated aids for Internet facility. Sophisticated aids for used as pedagogic tools.
ELECTRICIAN
BASIC ELECTRICAL:
Electrical safety, Analyzing series and parallel circuits, Measuring electric energy and power. Testing and identifying simple A.C. & D.C. circuits.
BASIC WORKSHOP PRACTICE:
Filing-flat surface, hack sawing, Drilling and chipping practice, thread cutting practice.
MEASURING TECHNIQUE:
Testing and studying various types of electrical instruments. Measuring practice in various types of electrical meters.
ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES AND LIGHTING:
Repairing practice in Electric heaters, toaster & Electric iron. Servicing, repairing and installing a ceiling fan, wet grinder, washing machine and mixer. Assembling and connecting in various types of lamps. Servicing and installing single phase & 3 phase transformer.
HOUSE WIRING AND INDUSTRIAL WIRING PRACTICE:
Preparing TW boards foe fixing flush type accessories and joints in electrical conductors. Preparing PVC casing and capping wiring. Domestic and industrial wiring practice. Testing the Electric wiring circuits.
ELECTRIC MACHINES:
Explaining about various types of DC motors and DC generators.
Maintaining and servicing DC motors and DC generators. Explaining, maintaining and servicing in various types of single phase and 3 phase AC induction motors. Assembling practice in AC motor and DC motors.
BASIC ELECTRONICS:
Soldering practice in various types of electronic circuit board, calculating resistor value. Explaining semi conductor devices. Measuring practice in CRO, UJT, DIAC, TRIAC, FET and MOSFET. Preparing practice in rectifier and amplifier circuit.
INSTALLATION SERVICE AND MAINTENANCE ELECTRICAL EQUIPMENT:
Panel board erection work practice. Preparing foundation for M.G. set. Installing an electric motor. Preparing in UG cable connection.
MECHANIC (MOTOR VEHICLE):
ALLIED TRADE:
Allied trade consists of theoretical and practical information for filing, chipping, hack sawing, drilling, grinding, reaming and measuring. Also marking, cutting, straightening, bending, punching, soldering etc. These helps the trainees to develop the perceptual capabilities needed for performing the skill.
IDENTIFICATION OF VEHICLE UNITS:
Identification of vehicle units, use of fasteners and locking devices.
SUSPENSION AND STEERING WORK:
Explanation of the suspension, neediness of different types and arrangements. And also explain about steering and its geometry.
BRAKE WORK:
Purpose of brake – types function and application.
Transmission work:
Explanation about transmission system like clutch, gearbox, propeller shaft, universal joints, differential and rear axle.
ENGINE REPAIR WORK:
Petrol and diesel engine consist of theoretical and practical information for identifying the parts, working principle. Maintenance and troubles in two stroke and four stroke engine and how to rectify the troubles in the engine.
ELECTRICAL/ ELECTRONICS ACCESSORIES:
Auto electrician consists of basic electrical and the method of crimping, insert screw setting, soldering and basic circuits. Also theoretical and practical information about car a/c system and service equipments and wheel balancing. These helps the trainees to develop their skills.
DRIVING PRACTICE:
Explanation about driving test requirements, driving license and driving test.
FITTER:
AIM: Learn Leap and Lead to achieve the Skill in Production of Machine parts, Assembly of parts, Operating the various Industrial Machine Tools, Maintenance of Machineries and Plumbing work.
BASIC FITTING: Learning by understanding through theoretical explanations and practical demonstrations about names, nomenclature types uses of various hand tools, marking tools, measuring and precision measuring instruments, striking tools, holding tools, and other mechanical equipments.
WORKSHOP PRACTICE:
Identifying the various engineering materials, providing materials giving various hand and machineries operations like hack sawing, filing, marking, drilling, turning, shaping, slotting, milling, planning etc..

Forging :
Here by the skill and knowledge observes about forge and its accessories and forging different types of jobs.
Sheet metal:
The skill and knowledge observes about sheet metal works and fabrication
Welding
The skill and knowledge observes about gas welding, arc welding, gas cutting, brazing, soldering and various joints.
Turning
Turning, taper turning, thread cutting, internal and external cylindrical grinding and other lathe operations.
Advanced fitting
Making the jobs as per drawing and assembly with correct limits and fits by entrusting project work.
Maintenance & mill Wright
Erection, testing of machines, dismantling, repairing, assembling and operation of various conventional and non-conventional machineries.
